Hi all,

We are running on an LTSP 3 version here, and everything runs quite fine. There are a few items though I would like to improve... so I would like to test the new 4.1.

Can I install 4.1 parallelly to the old one so that none of the clients is affected as long as I want them to be?

As far as I see, I just have to swap the /etc/dhcpd.conf which points to another kernel in tftpboot (both can be there, can't they?). The 4.1 would be stored in some /opt/ltsp41 or so to not affect the old one.

My question is: does the new installer respect this, or will I have to do anything by hand to not risk any overwriting trouble?

Rolf
