Harry,
How about you start by giving us a clue what the problem is.
What did you put in lts.conf?
what version of Ltsp are you using?
Hi Jim, thanks for the reply - I'm using LTSP v4.1.1, installed from the
ISO image, already updated via LTSP website with the latest packages.
I've tried substituting PRINTER_0_TYPE = S with PRINTER_0_TYPE = U as you
asked in the IRC (before I had to go offline due to my asthma), but it
still doesn't work, the printer still shows no activity although cups
reported that the print job has been printed successfully.
Here's the relevant part of lts.conf :
==========================
[Default]
SERVER = 192.168.10.101
XSERVER = auto
X_MOUSE_PROTOCOL = "PS/2"
X_MOUSE_DEVICE = "/dev/psaux"
X_MOUSE_RESOLUTION = 400
X_MOUSE_BUTTONS = 3
USE_XFS = N
SCREEN_01 = startx
SCREEN_02 = shell
SCREEN_03 = shell
X_VERTREFRESH="60-70"
[ws010]
#MODULE_01 = "/kernel/fs/supermount/supermount.o"
LOCAL_DEVICE_01 = /dev/fd0:floppy
#RCFILE_01 = rc.localdev
RCFILE_01 = rc.localdev2
MODULE_01 = usb-ohci
PRINTER_0_DEVICE = /dev/usb/lp0
PRINTER_0_TYPE = U
==========================
(I've tried commenting out "MODULE_01 = usb-ohci", it seems to still load
the USB drivers anyway - but unfortunately the USB printer is still unusable)
If there's anything else that you need to know just ask.
Thanks,
Harry
