There seems to be a great deal of changes from LTSP on Ubuntu 7.4 to 7.10. The lts.conf file has been moved, LDM is no longer a Python script, nfs-kernel-server is no longer necessary, etc.
I'm trying to understand how to use it again and how to configure it the way I want. I am really interested in some of the features stated in the Ubuntu release notes: "The speed of LTSP thin clients has been greatly improved through the use of compressed images, and LDM, the thin-client login manager included in Edubuntu, also now has support for autologin, multiple servers, and unencrypted graphics transport as an additional speed boost." Do I specify the directives in the lts.conf file for the compressed images, autologin, and unencrypted graphics transport? What are those directives? Where can I find more information on how the new setup works? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
