Have you reported this bug somehow officially, too? I ask this, because 
the two bug about autologin and using ssh key auth (instead of empty 
passwd) I reported on debian bugtrack were solved rather quickly. (OK, I 
also suggested patches... however, this problem about REMOTECMD cannot be 
more difficult than those two. it must be around one of the "if" clauses 
in ldm source)
