I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 with LTSP and I'm trying to shutdown my LTSP clients automatically. I've started to follow the guides:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuLTSP/ChrootCronjobs and https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuLTSP/AutomatedTCShutodwn But have fallen into a trap where the cronjobs are not working for some reason. CRONTAB_01="18 00 * * * /sbin/halt" CRONTAB_02="30 16 * * * /etc/ltsp/shutdownwarning" I've made sure that my clients clock is the same as my server. Also I can see the cron jobs sitting in the /etc/cron.d/ltsp file on the client. But when it gets to the time to halt nothing happens. Nor do I get a shutdown warning. I've created the shutdownwarning file and made it executable. I'm just missing something very simple here I feel. from -- Michael Pope ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Nokia and AT&T present the 2010 Calling All Innovators-North America contest Create new apps & games for the Nokia N8 for consumers in U.S. and Canada $10 million total in prizes - $4M cash, 500 devices, nearly $6M in marketing Develop with Nokia Qt SDK, Web Runtime, or Java and Publish to Ovi Store http://p.sf.net/sfu/nokia-dev2dev _____________________________________________________________________ Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
