I am still trying to figure why I am not able to compile lyx 1.5 :-(
I have not yet tried scons because it requires a newer version than
that I
have installed.
I noticed something funny when using autotools:
1) run ./autogen.sh
2) next time you run make it will call configure
3) assuming that configure fails (for some reason irrelevant to this argument)
make -k just calls configure endlessly. :-)
I am not sure what would be the right procedure here, since previously
configure did not fail on an automatic call and this does not seem right
either, nevertheless this behaviour is funny. :-)
