A simple cable will not work as the HP has a parallel port and the Mac
only has serial, also the standard LJ3 does not have postscript
emulation so a Mac could not print to it without 3rd party software.
The easiest solution would be PowerPrint serial
(see: http://www.strydent.com/ ) a $99 solution to print to most PC
printers.
other than that you could try and get a Postscript upgrade and an
AppleTalk or ethernet card for the printer, however that would
probably cost more unless you were lucky to find them second-hand.
