Oddly enough, I have @Home too, but they gave me a static IP
even without my having asked for it. Maybe the cable operators
have some control over whether static or dynamic IPs are handed
out.

That should raise a really big red flag that says, "I don't
really know what I'm doing, so maybe it's something dangerous."
