It is Aeneas who says he will not be sorry [i.e. be very happy] to remember her (4. 335).In regard to the current discussion on teaching the Aeneid in translation, an expression that seems to have become embedded in the English-speaking psyche since the time of Purcell's Dido & Aeneas (and maybe before) is "remember me" as a special request. Does Virgil actually put any such words into Dido's mouth (I tried to find such and failed)?
