Market Researcher Job Description General Responsibilities: To collect and maintain comprehensive, accurate market information relating to the commercial real estate industry in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area.
Specific Responsibilities: - Collect data via electronic/paper/reliable personal sources regarding interesting real estate news for use in the quarterly publication, the Studley Report and Spacedata - Write the narrative portion of the SRSD (approximately 300 words) and verify the numerical portion, which is provided by Headquarters - Maintain several databases including: major lease transactions, investment sales, available subleases, operating taxes & expenses - Act as repository for building flyers and marketing materials - Create and edit various types of detailed maps using MapInfo v.6.0 (training classes provided) - Maintain files for general market information such as tax incentive programs, economic development initiatives, labor & demographics - Participate in monthly conference calls with other Studley Researchers and Mappers - Provide market information to brokers as needed - Assist brokers and staff in special projects as requested Desired Qualities: The qualified applicant will possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and will use these skills to build their market expertise.
