That would essentially require extra memory within the MD unit to store and
manipulate the entire track before dumping it back to disc. To be honest
with you. I don't see it happening. It would be then advised to just do
adjustments on a track by track basis. All you can do is ensure that you
don't go over the 0dB mark. If the piece overall sounds a little quieter
compared to another track despite both hitting 0dB peaks, then the only
other way of bringing up the overall volume without distorting (ie. Going
past 0dB) would be to use some sort of compression (as in dynamic
compression, not ATRAC compression or something) be hit a hard/soft limiter
or what have you.

But really, if you want to do it that well, you'd have to dump digitally to
the PC, process and back again like I do with all the live recordings I do.
