I looked in my Crutchfield and it said the starter kit includes 3 mini-discs
and a nylon carrying case that holds 24 mini-discs. Whoo hooo! And it
comes with any mini-disc player/recorder that you buy. Anyway, I've decided
that I'm going to buy the Sony MDS-JE630 from them. I also noticed that it
had pitch control. Going back to the confusion of what pitch really is from
last week, does anyone happen to know what type of pitch control it is. Is
it pitch like the tempo (what a DJ commonly refers to) or is it pitch like
changing the frequency?

It was buried in the top margin of a right-hand page in their recent
catalogue, which I no longer have. It was something like three MDs and
maybe
something else, which I cannot remember for my life.
If someone here has a copy of Crutchfield's most recent catalogue, it was at
the top of the right-hand page of the two pages showing MD hardware. Sur-
prising that it isn't on their web site; I couldn't find it there either.
