=================================================== = NB: Over 50% of this message is QUOTED, please = = be more selective when quoting text = =================================================== My 10 year old Pioneer PD-91 has 18 bit DACs (think the oversampled data is sent to the DACs with 18bit precision) I suspect it also outputs an 18 bit signal. On my 920 I get very brash recordings with the input length set to 16 bits. When set to 20 bits, the recording is much more like the sound I get when playing the original CD. On the 16 bit setting, the 18 bit steam must be truncated.
