I got quite a few replies to the Football puzzle, the general belief is
that it is a hoax and has no solution.

Some say Chris Evans started it as a joke, others that the question
was put to Sky Sports, who researched it and concluded that there
is no solution.

I guess it's one of those "thought viruses" that must have eaten-up
literally thousands of hours of office-workers time in total.  And it
seems I unknowingly helped spread it.  Sorry guys.
