| I'm planning on buying the Sony MZ-R37, however I've a lot lately about
| Sony releasing a high density MD format (650MB), is this true??

Sony's new 640MB magento-optical (MO) drive is a 3.5" mechanism intended to
compete with the Imation (3M) SuperDisk. It is 100% incompatible with MD.

You can consider MD2 to be stillborn. Buy the '37.
