If you have a minidisc, a computer, and are into tech things, it is only
natural that you will want to put some of your tunes on the computer to
either edit them or record them to another minidisc, a CD or put on a
web  site.  I think it is on topic.

But, why the heck are you running EMM386 in this day and age?  I thought
it was long gone the way of DOS.
