Thought I'd post something to the list that I'd posted to AAM, just in case
there's anyone on the list more likely to know...

Anyways, here goes:-

I've recently bought a Sharp MD-X5H (bookshelf MD recorder, CD player, and
RDS tuner), and I've looked on minidisc.org, but can't find any info
(service manuals etc) for it (apart from the manual in pdf). Anyone got or
know of any resources that are relevant?

I'm pretty pleased with it (I have a portable Aiwa F65 also), as it makes
CD->MD real easy, and with the PS/2 keyboard socket on the front, titling
with a keyboard is real cool and quick - you can do this while recording the
track, and only takes a few seconds (depending on your keyboard skills!).

One thing I find a little strange given other bookshelf CD / MD units is the
optical / digital connection is input only - I mean I can see why you'd want
an optical in with the MD recording deck, but why no out - it would be nice
to go MD->MD digitally as well. I can only assume it's for economic reasons,
as it quite happily provides digital recording CD->MD, and I've seen a few
bigger units with CD and MD that have optical ins and outs.
