Another C-Media 8738-based board, at last. Guaranteed perfect S/PDIF, with (apparently) none of the S/PDIF input incompatibility issues of the older 8338s I still use, and also supports 48K, unlike the 8338 which is 44.1 only. The drivers now support 24-bit I/O as well (both 8338 and 8738 chipsets), which is very handy if you have an MD deck that supports >16-bit wordlengths... I've tested, and my JE510 definitely sends back more than 16-bits in ADC mode. I'll have to keep an eye out for them, since I've yet to see an AudioExcel 8738 board in the UK... Do note that the on-board DACs and ADCs are utterly diabolical, though. - Tom. http://www.tbrowne.demon.co.uk ----------------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
