A 4.5 volt adapter will RUN the 702 fine, but will not
charge it. As I recall, I had to pay something like
$30 for a 5V charger (but actually it was somewhat worth
it because it is much smaller and lighter than the
stock charger). I think I got it from Planet MiniDisc
or MiniDisc now.
