Hi,
If I get the gist of what your saying right, you want to convert one channel
so it plays like a mono file i.e. through both channels?
If so then the only way I think you could do it would be to record off the
sound from the MD to anther MD/Tape/PC and then re-record back onto the MD
in mono mode. Both channels get 50% sampled and combined. This would give
you the sound from both channels.
There would be a drop in quality, how much would depend what you recorded
onto i.e. tape/MD etc.
Hope it helps!
Jim

Subject: MD: recording on one channel
i was struggling with this mic--only recording on 1 channel tho it is a
stereo mic- audio technica atrac. It did record on 2 when I bought
it0--think connections are faulty. Meanwhile any way I can edit the output
so it goes on both channels?
