I'll point out here that while maybe normal CDs don't have a large 
enough dynamic range, Sony's "Super CD" is ridiculous. Even with 
"only" DVD Audio discs you can capture the dynamic range of a jet 
engine.

1 hz = 1 cycle/second.  But I assume you know that.
