On LP decks, you can edit down to single-frame resolution.  However, one
frame of SP mono or LP2 runs twice as long as one frame of SP stereo, and one
frame of LP4 runs four times as long as one frame of SP stereo, so the edit-
ing resolution drops with the speed.  (By the same token, the buffer capacity
increases as the speed drops.)

On LP portables, I'm not sure: if you have to divide without rehearsal by
catching the point as it passes, then it doesn't matter much whether the
resolution is 512 samples or 2048.  Fingers just aren't that fast.
