thanks mark. yes, my R700 arrived this past friday and i haven't been able
to put it down since. i compiled nearly 5 hours of some comedy albums i
have onto one MD in LP4 mode. even though LP4 is only good for such
applications, it works perfectly.
i am very happy with what i have chosen as a stepping stone into the MD
arena. my next step is to replace these worthless headphones. i have my
eye on the sony ones you mentioned, the EX70LPs. i noticed etronics.com has
them for $39.
