 o AV-Land (UK) points out a [1]photo and [2]Japanese press release for 
   Panasonic's SV-SR100 ([3]English summary ), a portable CD-player 
   capable of also playing AAC, MP3 and WMA audio from Panasonic's SD 
   ("secure digital") memory cards. The SDMI complaint device allows 
   recording from CD, microphone and line input sources to memory in 
   AAC format. No word on whether subsequent USB upload to PC is 
   possible.
