My brother fixed his 300E with similar damage by getting an inner fender at the junk yard and welding it in rather than attempting to straighten out the old one. I think he had more severe damage, with a lot of the metal folded up.
It's a thought -- a lot of work, but you don't have to fiddle forever to get everything lined back up.
