Yeah, that seems funny to me too, but it happened. So you're saying that the
hazards operating is essentially the hazard switch telling it to run both
turn signals at once? And when this happens, the input from the turn sigs.
is negated, or has no effect? Not trying to make things difficult, just
trying to get clues into my non-electrical-saavy mind.

Actually, while I was playing around with the buttons and levers, there was
a noticeable hesitation at one point - a half a second or so when nothing
happened, then the hazards came on. Something was slightly amiss there, it
seems to me, anyway, that a contact was dirty, or there was not enough
voltatge being delivered or received.

I'm just glad to have seen the flashing lights - it gives me something to
chew on.

Hey, ALSO: The dash light dimmer rings a bell for me. Where exactly is that
located? I don't have the manual CD near me. Wait, isn't the
dimmer switch, in the console toward the rear? I ask because I think it's
fallen down into it, so I haven't seen it for a while. Haven't had time to
tinker with the vehicle much yet. It's the rheostat, yes? Some of it's
coming back to me now.
