You can buy a 16GB USB with fast read/write specs for $34 after MIR

The microSDHC looks snazzy, but will cost you a bit more (almost 2x for
class 6 16MB)

I'm a big fan of the Nanosac. It's basically just a micro-sd reader, so you
c an swap out cards as you need and upgrade to whatever size is appropriate.
It doesn't hurt that I have three media players and a phone which also use
micro sd.

The one I originally purchased seems to have been discontinued, but what
appears to be the next generation is available here:
