Maybe I won't have a problem at all. Could somebody look who understands band width guesstimate
Here is what the Bell Canada chat rep said (These are Canadian dollars, currently worth $1.02 US): (They have plans with more gigs included that sell you excess for $2 a gig. The trouble is that I don't have the faintest idea how much bandwidth I am using.) They charge you $25 if you start out with too much and downgrade your package because another one is cheaper. Francesca: Home Phone Lite: $22.94/mo. Francesca: Essential Plus High Speed: $28.90/mo. Francesca: Digital Basic TV: $33/mo. (1 year Free HD Receiver included) Francesca: Total: $84.84/mo. + taxes for 1 year and thereafter $94.84/mo. + taxes. Francesca: I am sorry, with Bell there is no unlimited usage plan though you will get option to get more GB on top of your plan. Francesca: It included 2 GB usage /mo Francesca: And If you need extra GB's you can add 40 GB for just $5. Francesca: Like wise you can add this 40 GB - $5 plan 3 times in a month. Francesca: So, you can get maximum of 120 GB for $15. Francesca: The maximum usage overage fee of $60 per month will continue to apply for usage of 300 GB or less. Francesca: There will be an extreme usage charge of $1.00 for every GB of usage exceeding 300 GB per month. (I never thought of myself as an extremist, but someone who downloads all of his software through an Ubuntu mirror site might be.) Francesca: Let me give you the few examples. Francesca: With 50 GB, you can download 73 Movies or, 12,500 Songs or , 50,000 digital pictures or, Visit 1,250,000 web pages or send 3,000,000 emails. Francesca: and Francesca: With 75 GB, you can download 109 Movies or, 18,750 Songs or, 75,000 digital pictures or, Visit 1,850,000 web pages or send 5,500,000 emails. It would be hard to find a consumer who sends five million emails a month but never downloads a movie or visits a web page. -- Robert Mark Wallace 60 Delaware Road Newburgh, NY 12550-3802 Tel: (845) 566-0586 US Cell (845) 264-7228 Ca Cell: (902) 314-4521 _______________________________________________ Mid-Hudson Valley Linux Users Group http://mhvlug.org http://mhvlug.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mhvlug Upcoming Meetings (6pm - 8pm) MHVLS Auditorium Apr 6 - Introduction to IPv6 May 4 - Inkscape Jun 1 - Zimbra
