Although I haven't confronted any "insufficient" memory in my Spice Dream
UNO so far even after installing more than 15 apps, there are some
significant issues with this
model, and I presume they are common to all Android One category phones.
Below I'm listing few of them.
First of all, internal memory is not accessible for any personal use in
these phones. Even if you connect your phone to your laptop, it won't show
you any icon for internal memory. No file explorer has been able to give you
the access to your internal memory. Means for any personal use in terms of
keeping your files, be they pictures, songs or any file, you need to
have the availability of the SD card.
Secondly, as a corollary to the first one, if you don't have SD card present
in your phone, you are not able to operate the camera of your phone, for by
default, it saves all your taken snaps and videos to the memory card.
Third, if any of your vocaliser voices are installed on your phone, they
would
stop working once the card is taken out of the phone and the phone is
restarted without the memory card. I suppose except Google TTS and indeed
Eloquence, all other voices would require a separate place to install.
Fourthly, this phone has a severe tendency of getting heated up even if you
are just fiddling around with talkback and not performing any heavy job over
it. It would also drain out your battery very fast.
Finally I do agree with Ajay that after updating it to Android 5.1 and
installing about 15 apps, it is showing only 400MB as free memory. This is
partly because the regular updates, particularly from Google apps are of
huge size, any app that relates itself to Google, would be between 30 to 40
MB. It clearly means, the higher the version of Android , the larger space
you would require on your device.
Overall, while in terms of performance, it doesn't have any problem, in
terms of memory, it is slightly poor.

Hi,
Take spice only if you want to install 1- 2 apps, otherwise, after
regular usage it shows "insufficient memory".
I am using it and don't find its memory management up to the mark.
All in all, wouldn't recommend if it has to be the only device
otherwise, as a backup phone, it is wonderful.
Thanks,
Ajay
