Hey, Dave,
I think it's time for a truce. I'm sure our fellow MoPoer's have grown
weary of all this. Hey, I don't want
your posters. I'd much prefer you cooperate with Todd and send some key
posters to him (wouldn't be surprised if he's doubting the good ones'
authenticity, too) Hey, just send the posters he requests to inspect and all
will be settled once and for all. At that point, I promise I'll make a public
apology for whatever accusations I've made. Now, you've become the one who
keeps bringing this asinine feud of ours up..mentioning my name over and
over again. I'm tired of being your smokescreen. Let's give other MoPo
members a break and put it to rest.....

Todd, I have no doubt that the posters we are selling from this "find" are
authentic. We received over 10 giant rolls of them with almost every title
imaginable from that era '68 to '72. The guy who sent them didn't even
remember exactly what he had.
and again......we received these over 5 years ago and have sold hundreds
of them to dealers and collectors all over the world and not one person who
has ever received one has ever doubted their authenticity to us, on mopo,
or on any other message board.
Either they are real, or I am the most successful original movie poster
counterfeiter in history!! (haggard was caught ;) )
the only one doubting them is some jealous guy named rick. I will gladly
send you a few if it will shut him up.....but something tells me that even
after I do that he will still spread lies about me. Pretty sad when you
think about it.
btw, we also had another few "mini" finds of rolled posters from the early
to mid 70's, one from a guy who used to work at continental litho, and
from another guy who worked at gore graphics. These finds were much, much
smaller though but one consisted of a lot of printer's proofs. I think this
guy
also consigned a bunch to Bruce, but that could have been another guy.

I'm in Pebble Beach for a few more days, I'll send some when I return.

Dave,
The 2 fake insert are going out Monday, thanks for letting us work on
them, and sorry for the delay in getting them back to you. When you get them
you will see that the sample we remove for analysis is undetectable. We have
done this process now on cards and posters that are worth 15k and more, so
you shouldn't be worried about it damaging a poster.
I want to say I have heard about the "the Find" of rolled posters that you
and others have been selling and am not doubting them, I just think with
the level of sophistication of printing we saw in this fake "the Thing"
would make any dealer pause when they get rolled one sheets in and if I was
the
client and am spending 2k on that poster I would want to know for sure.
Dave, this is not aimed at you or anyone else selling rolled posters. I
think after the fake Universal horror scandal OUR industry should be SUPER
diligent about being too eager about selling something that is "out of the
ordinary" and is the EXACT reason I went out and found the Forensic lab so
that we can have CONCLUSIVE evidence for pieces in question.

yes, you wind up in my spam folder. All your email does since I blocked
you years ago. I didn't like the incessant daily ads for your garbage zero
value ebay listings.
not one dealer or collector who has ever bought one of the rolled posters
from us has EVER said they thought they weren't real. Not one. period. No
one on mopo.....no one off mopo......no one.
trying to discredit us by lying is just plain pathetic.
and again.......Why won't you let me send a few to you directly? What are
you afraid of? Afraid I'll have your address and then come tp your house?
I'll gladly send Todd a bunch.......but I believe his testing process
damages the poster by taking a small piece of it. (Todd, please correct me if
I'm wrong). Also Todd, we never got back the 2 fake inserts we sent you for
your research.....do you still have them?
There is no way I'm submitting a poster worth several thousand dollars to
have it damaged by having a sample taken from it. If anyone thinks this is
unreasonable of me.....too bad! I may be doing well in this business, but
I'm not doing well enough to flush a $2000+ poster down the toilet by having
a sample lifted from it. I'll gladly send in a bunch of lesser valued
posters from this find, they aren't worth anything really and I don't care
what
happens to them.
Anyone is welcome to come examine these rolled posters or any of our other
posters in person. Our office is open by appointment Monday Through
Saturday. Where is your office rick? When are you available to meet your
customers?

Just a comment....you are the only person (on MoPo or otherwise) who has
claimed that my emails have ended up in their Spam Folder...the only one.
That leads me to assume this absurd claim is as phoney as your "original"
rolled posters from the 60's. Be sure to make sure some of these are
included in your package to Todd (that is, if you ever send it...and include
the
really questionable one sheets. Now, I'll probably hear from one of your
lackeys claiming that all of my email ends up in their Spam Folder as well.
Hey, Dave, lots and lots of dealers and sellers alike out here in the land
called Movie Poster Reality highly doubt that some of your rolled material
is questionable at best. Don't kid yourself.

been authenticating for what? less than a year now? I've had them for over

never even touched one.
A few of them have even been re consigned to Heritage....and I think one
or two have made their way through Bruce.

it really is unbelievable that you think I bootlegged hundreds of
different titles.......most of them zero titles with little desirability and
little to no real value.
looks like that million dollar Heidelberg printing press that I bought is
coming in handy!

Hi, Dave,
Was wondering...have you sent even one of these somewhat questionable
one sheets to Todd Spoor for checking its (their) true verifiable
authenticity..even one? If you haven't, why haven't you? If the results
came back
that the alleged one sheets were authentic, I'd offer you a huge mea culpa
and admit I've been wrong all this time...

I fished your email out of my spam folder.
Still jealous after all these years? wow.
Please get your facts straight.
We have never claimed to have a rolled cool hand luke one sheet. There
wasn't one of those in the "find".
No other dealer has ever accused us of selling fake rolled 1968-1972 one
sheets as authentic.
The story of our "find" from that era 1968-1972 has been well documented.
You are the only one who seems to think they are not real......and you've ne
ver even handled one. I've even offered to send you for free several
rolled titles from the "find" (all nothing titles with little to no real
value)....and you declined. I even sent several to Rich Halegua as a gift.
We have sold many of them to dealers and collectors all over the
world......no one has ever even suggested they were "suspect".
nice try though......
and I'll repeat myself since some people can't read. We really have
nothing invested in this woodstock poster. We only have one of them....and it
is
on consignment......we can't send it to anyone unless they buy it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------
Hi, Bruce,
I can't understand how any dealer who is selling pre-say, 1975 one
sheets that are rolled and thus deemed suspect by many other dealers and
collectors wouldn't gladly and willingly accept Todd Spoor's offer to prove
once
and for all that they are indeed genuine original one sheets. Seems as if
there must be at least a shred of doubt in their own minds, otherwise
they'd want to finally be vindicated...to put the entire matter to rest. Oh,
Dave, when you send the rolled Woodstock Style C one sheet to Todd might as
well include that other puppy... the rolled Cool Hand Luke as well...
