I have just uploaded mpir-2.7.0 alpha6. This fixes a problem with LONG_MAX not being defined on some systems (causing PPL to not compile against MPIR).
The fix will only affect the C++ wrapper (mpirxx.h). I hope this is the last alpha. JP, it would be great if you could confirm this really fixes the PPL issue.
