All,

Looking for a little confirmation or for someone to correct me. I've
been playing around with a perl script to allow sending an
acknowledgement to Nagios through replying to a host or service
notification in email. I've got the script working but in the process
noticed something odd. According to the Nagios documentation for the
external command ACKNOWLEDGE_SVC_PROBLEM, setting "sticky" to 1 forces
the acknowledgement to remain until the service returns to an OK state.
However, if submitting an acknowledgement through the webui and then
checking the Event Log, placing a check next to Sticky Acknowledgement
causes the "sticky" option on the external command in the Event Log to
show up as a 2. Leaving this box unchecked allows the "sticky" option
in the Event Log to show up as a 1.

I would have thought that checking this option in the webui would in
effect turn it on, but the opposite appears to be occurring.

Nagios version in use is 2.9.

Thanks!

Matt
