Hi. I'm interested to know if Neo4j would be able to optimize room
assignments at a conference. This is an annual conference put on in
California for students in the drama departments of high schools in
California.

   - The conference center has theaters and rooms of different sizes and
   attributes to accommodate performances (sessions).
   - A session consists of one high school performing one type of act
(monologue, duo, song) in front of 2 judges and (interested audience
   members) .
   - Some acts require certain attributes for certain types of acts. For
example, a singer must perform a room that has a piano, and the piano must
be played by an accompanist who's scheduled by the system.
   - Some acts require certain types of judges. For example, singing acts
require (in addition to an accompanist) a voice expert judge.
   - Some events aren't acts, but tutorials and lectures given by judges.
   - Each act from each high school will be performed once.
   - Each student in each high school can be involved in more than one act
(at different times, of course, and possibly different rooms).

Inputs to the system include such things as high schools, students, their
acts, judge availability, room availability, time constraints (eg only on
the weekend of the conference, and no act should be performed during lunch
hour), preferred times (eg a judge would prefer to have as few changes, and
as few time gaps between sessions, as possible), etc.

*The objective is to generate a master schedule of acts, judges, rooms, and
times so that all participants will know where they are supposed to be at
various times.*

*Would Neo4j, and specifically its query/optimization logic, be up to this
task?*

Much thanks in advance.

*Kurt Euler*
