IMHO, ptycall is a buggy & unportable piece of code that should be replaced by popen() (e.g. it does not work well on my SuSE 6.4 & 7.2 systems, although I never had any problems on Redhat) There *may* be problems with popen, but I bet there will not. Should I blast it?
