hmm..., that sounds like a pretty useful idea. If not under cygwin, how about compiling it using mingw32? I'd also be very interested to learn if anyone's had any luck with that.

Howdy.. I've done a search on the mailing list at:
http://msgs.securepoint.com/nessus/
on this subject to no avail. The change notes for older versions seem to
imply that it might be possible, but I have yet to see anyone claim to get
nessus working under any version of Cygwin.
One problem I see right away is that I can't find a binary for NMAP for
Cygwin, and compiling sounds iffy to say the least.
Has anyone done it? Can anyone provide binaries??
