I certainly can't speak for anyone else, but I'd want the server.  If I
could run it on a Windows box, then I'd have access to much more powerful
hardware than what I'm using as a test box now.  Not having the GUI client
should also ease things a bit since you won't have to worry about gtk.
Besides, I think NessusWX is a pretty darn good client, and I'd probably
continue to use that anyway.

  Renaud Deraison (author of nessus) and I have had conversation
off list of use of cygwin on win32 to compile nessus.  He has in the
past done it.  I don't know if he's done it recently.  I haven't tried
myself.  Both the idea of cygwin and mingw compiles sound good
to me, but what would you be wanting to compile?  Nessus server
for Win32 - I don't know how realistic that would be.  Or just the
GUI client?
