Both Emante and net-snmp implement the SNMP protocol and are
compatible.  However, the API used internally is very different so if
you've written any code you'll have to rewrite it if you move.  We
also don't provide guaranteed support and they do (you can't call us ;-).  

(they do have a linux version, btw)
