That would probably be my preference of the four alternatives.

Make sure that your TC specifies explicitly what the enumeration
values for day of the week represent.   i.e. it's  Mon(1), Tue(2), etc
or Sun(1), Mon(2), etc   (or something else!)

You might also wish to consider having a four-octet TC, to allow for
the possibility of per-second granularity (even if you don't need this
now - how confident are you that it won't be requested in the future?)
