Yes firewalls are a problem for NM.
A reasonably configured firewall with proper H.323 support will allow
calling out.
None that I know of will allow calling in though. NetMeeting protocols
require IP to IP connection -- if you are behind a firewall you just don't
have a reachable IP so there is no way to establish the initial connection.
H.323 proxies ( Phone Patch -- http://www.equival.com ) may solve some of
this problem.
