Hi
I an a Linux noobie -
I have Mandrake 5.3 installed as well as Windoze 95 =
why dont you make the current Primary master your slave(ie:change the
jumper settings on both HDD's ) and the current Secondary Master to the
primary master
i know from repeated installs of win95 that it prefers to be installed on
the primary HDD.
then boot up into win - go into the CDrom (put the madrake cd in first)
have 3 Blank/formatted 1.44 floppies ready
look in the dosutils dir and double click on RAWRITE
then i will ask for the path of hte images d:\images\boot.img (where d is
the letter of your CD)
and basically follow the instructions
make the boot.img the Supp.img and the Rescue.img disks
insert the Boot.img disk and reboot your machine - and then follow the
install prompts
pretty easy (umm and my best guess - i dont know too much - but if you are
not using anything in particular in the current Redhat Install then NUKE it
get rid of it and install from a clean HDD
also DOS Fdisk has an interesting and totally undocumented feature FDISK
/MBR
that will over-write your Master Boot Record (where you probably have got
lilo installed) and replace it with a DOS/Win95 MBR.
that way you get rid of LILO too :)
hope this helps
