We need more specific information about the hardware.  Do you have sound?
What kind of video chipset are you using?  Does it have a CD or will you be
installing from network or image files?  Is the cd bootable or can you have
both the floppy and cd in at the same time?  Do you want KDE/X or not?  When
you find all that out, go to 
http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/fhard.html  That shows all supported
hardware for Mandrake.  If your stuff checks out, sure you can run it.
