Dan,
Well I went back, and it still didn't seem to work hitting the keys as you
state.
But this time when I opened minicom, it says its configuring the modem.
Well I watched and it seemed to doing somehing like
trying to setup on figure out a init string.
then it seemed to stop.
At this point I htt the Crl A Z and nothing.
again to get out I have to reboot.
