On Wednesday 17 July 2002 1:08 pm, Terry Sheltra did speak unto the huddled
masses, saying:

> 1.) Mandrake absolutely refuses to keep the clock sync'd with the

> down, it THEN syncs with the hardware clock, forcing me to update the
> BIOS to the correct time every time I boot up the machine.

there was a simple file to remove that fixed this for me, but i forget what.
it had to do with the time zone being set in two different files. i will
see if i can find it and get back to you.

> 2.) Software Manager has just decided that I didn't need CDs 1 and 2 on
> my source list, and deleted the entries for them. How can I get them

you should be able to do a "define sources" in software manager with the cd
in the drive, choose a name (cd whatever) and it should re-add the cd. i
find that if i lose 2 cd's i sometimes have to then exit software manager
and load it again before adding the second or they will not stay.

if that fails try (as root) in a shell "urpmi.addmedia (some-media-name)
(directory-path)" with /mnt/cdrom (most likely) as the path.

There is a reason IIS is refered to as "Inherently Insecure Server."
