Not unusual if things are all stacked on the same interrupt.  This is 
dependent on many factors:

The slot next to the AGP usually shares interrupt with AGP--for a 
network card this is bad juju.

If ACPI is activated in BIOS it stacks every possible piece of hardware 
on the same IRQ if it can--wait til the kernel has ACPI support for 
real.  (Hint: about one more year).  This is what happens with standards 
imposed by hardware makers (in this case Intel) rather than developed in 
the open standards process.
