Like others have said - a journalling fs. I always use ext2 on /boot and / because (and I'm not sure if this is correct) updating the kernel (or rather _installing_ a new kernel) may have problems with other fs. Sharrea -- The box said "Requires Windows 95 or better" so I installed Linux.
