Hallo
I installed Mandrake 6.0 and everything went fine to the point of
running KDE
My machine has:
diamond stealth 64 vram pci (S3 968) and is recognized with setup and
tested OK.
3com network card (3C9053-tx) setup reports 3C95x
sound card is not properly installed (SB 64PCI)
The effect i get is:
startx
display switches to grafic mode and remains black
Ctrl+Alt+'+' does nothing neither <BS> or <F2>
All i can do is ctrl+alt+del to shutdown and reboot
I tried:
setup/Xconfig and diferent video modes including SVGA and VGA generic
driver
setup/sound do not work either. error detecting sound card is
repotred (it works fine in WIN)
rerun complete install
