if it's like my toshiba 1105 it has a winmodem. my toshiba's winmodem is based on an unsupported winmodem chipset. this means that even in the winmodem world there are no linux drivers available. you'll need to go to the support forums that toshiba maintains on their website to find out what chipset you have before you can find out if there are linux drivers that support it. -- Alan
