Hi Bob,

Thanks for the thoughts, I realised my problem.  When I ftp'd the file from 
Windows to Linux, I did an ASCII transfer not a binary one (d'oh) so the 
file was altered during the transfer.

One for the "1001 things to learn from Linux"
