I guess what bugged me about Reuters coverage of the verdict was the apparent bias that they displayed with quotes like:

"A Norwegian teen-ager who created a computer program to copy Hollywood movies"

and

"he helped unlock a code and distribute a program enabling unauthorized copying of DVD movies"

when he's stated over and over again that he only wrote the thing so that he could view movies on an OS that the movie industry didn't support. Viewing and "unauthorized copying" are very different things in my book.

But then, maybe I don't have all the facts.
