any linux is good if it is properly configured. Naturally we all are pretty damn sure the very best linux server and/or desktop is the current version of Mandrake. A lot more accurate question might be what is the best version of Apache to use as a web server. the numbers lately seem to show that even tho every XP and WIN2k machine come with IIS, the Apache Advanced Extranet Server that is included in the Mandrake Distro to be the most popular web server, especially if you see numbers about how many pages are served on a given day, the Apache Advanced Extranet Server servers about 8 time as many pages as IIS, and has many less security issues.
